Alan Newberry :: FCA :: Director
Alan Newberry FCA has been a Chartered Accountant since 1968 and a fellow since 1976. He is in overall charge of our tax department and deals with income tax, corporation tax and accounts preparation. He specialises in creating the right structure for businesses and individuals to minimise their future tax liabilities. Alan uses similar strategic planning for inheritance tax and trusts, and capital gains tax. Alan is an active member of his local Rotary Club and is a Past President.

John Hall :: FCA :: Director
John is a Chartered Accountant who qualified in 1972 and has spent most of his professional career in practice, predominantly as a partner with local firm Hardwickes until that company’s merger with Coyne Butterworth & Chalmers in June 2008. He has a mixed portfolio of business clients and personal tax cases and has over time built up many strong and long-standing professional relationships. Outside of the office, John is an avid football watcher, Tottenham Hotspur being his specialist subject. He also enjoys walking, reading and listening to music.

Ian Walton :: FCA, FABRP :: Director
Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia in 1978 and was a partner in one of the "Big Four" accountancy practices in Australia for six years. He moved to England and to this firm in 1986 and is the audit partner dealing with company, club and charity audits, and also with a mixed portfolio of clients including small owner managed businesses. He is also a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with over thirty years of experience in this area. Outside work Ian enjoys golf, walking, the theatre and all sports in which Australia participate.

Alex Goracy :: FCA, ATII :: Director
Alex is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor. He has been associated with the firm for over 30 years, and a Partner for 20 years. He deals with a diverse portfolio of business clients and personal tax cases. Alex specialises in Employment Classifications including IR35 and CIS. Alex is a keen rugby supporter and is a Bath Rugby season ticket holder. He is also a former Weymouth & District Round Table, and Weymouth Carnival Chairman.

Michael Howard :: MA FCA :: Director
Mike qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 having trained in London with Stoy Hayward. After eight more years’ valuable experience there, he moved to Dorset and has worked in Weymouth since 1989. Mike deals with a wide range of local businesses, personal tax clients, flat management companies, charities and clubs, specialising in tax planning and exploiting tax saving opportunities. When Mike manages to escape from the office his natural habitat is the golf course, swimming pool, out on a bicycle or enjoying downtime with his wife and two teenage daughters at home or, occasionally, on holiday.
